Correspondent Banking Compliance

Location: Remote, USA; in-person presence at the Bank's Presidio-based office is strongly preferred, with frequent travel required. Candidates outside San Francisco are expected to travel monthly during the first six months and five times per year thereafter, with additional international travel to client and prospective banks.

What you will do

• Enhance and execute the onboarding framework, procedures, requirements, and workflows for correspondent banks globally.
• Assess new-country risks, prepare country risk assessments, and design rules and systems to detect and monitor geographic and bank-specific risks.
• Conduct end-to-end due diligence and periodic reviews for correspondent bank partners.
• Refine ongoing monitoring expectations, including trigger events, escalation criteria, and review processes.
• Support go-to-market and business teams in evaluating prospective banks, explaining compliance requirements, and coordinating product rollouts.
• Create customer-facing documentation and scalable compliance guardrails for bank customers.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of regulatory, compliance, or risk management experience focused on international financial activity.
• Experience building operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Strong familiarity with geographic and political risk underwriting.
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Highly organized project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and priorities.
• Ability to travel frequently, including heavy international travel to client and prospective banks.

• Previous correspondent banking experience.
