Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Toronto, Canada (remote)

Salary: CAD$140,000–180,000 yearly, with possible additional bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Deploy commercial-grade AI products and integrate research innovations into the core AI model suite.
• Engineer scalable, high-performance machine learning systems with strong reliability.
• Advance the ML Platform through monitoring, workflow orchestration, artifact versioning, automated testing, and evaluation.
• Optimize and fine-tune AI models for high-performance inference at scale.
• Deliver AI-driven insights and models that support client adoption and measurable business growth.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with non-technical and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development, including deep learning systems and model pipelines.
• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Deep expertise in neural networks, including transformers, computer vision, natural language processing, and multimodal learning.
• Advanced proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow and strong Python skills.
• Experience designing production ML systems with workflow orchestration, online/offline evaluation, performance monitoring, and A/B testing.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, recommender systems, and propensity scoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark and Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to implement and adapt state-of-the-art research papers.
• Experience productizing AI research into commercial-grade deep learning models.
