Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Singapore

Salary: SGD 90,000–300,000 per year, plus equity.

hirify.global is an applied AI lab building a large-scale search engine and infrastructure for crawling the web, training embedding models, and retrieving information through vector databases.

What you will do

• Design and develop backend systems for large-scale search architecture.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency services and optimize them to an exceptional degree.
• Create data-processing pipelines handling millions of documents per day.
• Develop search over billions of web pages and custom vector databases processing billions of vectors in under 100 milliseconds.
• Build web-crawling infrastructure that works efficiently across different websites.

Requirements

• Experience writing and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Ability to build data-processing pipelines for millions of documents per day.
• Strong systems optimization skills.
• Interest in finding and retrieving high-quality information.
• Willingness to work in person in Singapore.

Nice to have

• Experience with a high-performance language such as C++ or Rust.
