TL;DR
Senior Frontend Engineer (AI Platform): Building performant, scalable web applications and tools for an explainable AI platform with an accent on React, Next.js, TypeScript, and high-speed user experiences. Focus on rapidly iterating features, integrating JSON APIs, collaborating with ML, back-end, DevOps, QA, and Product Design teams, and deploying performance-tuned applications at scale.
Location: Hybrid, with offices in Austin, Texas, and Reston, Virginia; applicants must meet U.S. government authorization requirements.

What you will do
- Build and refine performant, scalable web applications and tools for the Flow AI platform.
- Rapidly iterate on product features and deploy performance-tuned applications at scale.
- Develop React and Next.js interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Consume JSON APIs and collaborate with back-end and DevOps engineers on APIs and server deployments.
- Partner with QA and Product Design to validate implementations and accurately deliver interface designs.
- Contribute technical perspectives and help evolve the front-end direction.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
- 5–7 years of experience with React, including components, hooks, Next.js, and the React lifecycle.
- Experience with Node, NPM, JSON APIs, automated testing, Scrum, CI/CD, and Git.
- Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce.
Nice to have
- Experience with Tailwind or another CSS framework.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
