Mid Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Krakow Office, Poland; primarily remote with flexible hours, but occasional in-person meetings are required.

What you will do

• Research, develop, and maintain insurance pricing models, algorithms, visualizations, and proprietary solutions.
• Build fullstack features using Python, TypeScript, and React.
• Analyze requirements, propose solutions, create proofs of concept, and deliver production-grade software.
• Support, optimize, and maintain services to meet defined SLOs.
• Contribute through pull request reviews, RFCs, ADRs, and agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with product, sales, and customer success teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Python development experience.
• At least 1 year of TypeScript development experience.
• Experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, or Celery, as well as frontend hooks and testing libraries.
• Experience delivering production-grade solutions and solving problems at scale.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, plus a strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent communication skills in an English-speaking environment and availability for occasional face-to-face meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience with public cloud providers, preferably AWS.
• Experience taking ownership of quality through test automation.
• Experience building Python microservices with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with TanStack, react-hook-form, or Vite.
