Software Engineer, Advanced (Big Data)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Composer, and Matillion.
• Implement ETL processes to ingest, clean, and process large volumes of data.
• Optimize data workflows for high performance and efficiency.
• Work with BigQuery and other SQL/OLAP databases, object storage, and messaging services.
• Provision and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business analysts.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate with stakeholders to deliver project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud, and related data-processing services.
• Strong SQL/OLAP database, object storage, and messaging-service knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Cloud Functions, Cloud Build or Jenkins, and cloud networking.
• Additional GCP expertise.
