Senior Backend Software Engineer (Node/Python)

Location: Singapore; remote, asynchronous work environment with off-hours support during EU daytime / APAC night.

What you will do

• Design and implement backend features and APIs in collaboration with product managers.
• Improve core system architecture, performance, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
• Maintain AWS infrastructure and refine CI/CD pipelines.
• Build monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across the platform.
• Respond to backend incidents during EU daytime / APAC night, mitigate impact, and escalate critical issues.
• Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, documentation, and backend best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend development or systems engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js or Python for building APIs and services.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL/SQL databases and Redis caching.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, asynchronous environment and provide off-hours support during EU daytime / APAC night.
