Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Lead and execute the translational medicine strategy across oncology programs.
• Develop clinical biomarker strategies and ensure assay readiness and delivery of data on mechanism of action, treatment resistance, and future indications.
• Contribute cancer biology expertise to oncology program teams and collaborate on program strategy and clinical trial design.
• Deliver clinically validated assays and advance companion diagnostic development for biomarker-selected studies.
• Partner with AI, computational biology, portfolio science, and clinical teams to translate preclinical insights into clinical development and create innovative analytical tools.
• Contribute to clinical and regulatory documents and oversee external CROs to ensure timely, robust data delivery.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in biology or a related field.
• At least 7 years of translational experience in biotech or pharma, including oncology.
• Proven experience implementing translational strategy, clinical biomarkers, and diagnostic development in oncology studies.
• Significant expertise in cancer biology and drug development, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong interest in working in an AI-first environment and willingness to apply emerging methodologies beyond traditional assays.
• Strong leadership, communication, accountability, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with global oncology studies across clinical phases, tumor types, and drug modalities.
• Companion diagnostic experience across countries and through regulatory approval.
• Ability to analyze multi-omic datasets independently and with biometrics teams.
• Experience using AI to enhance translational medicine work.
