Senior Java Developer

Location: Spain; hybrid work with occasional onsite attendance required for team collaboration, workshops, or project activities.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and components using Java.
• Contribute to the evolution and unification of enterprise data platform ecosystems.
• Support migration of existing components into the target platform.
• Analyse applications, integrations, dependencies, and data flows.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, product, and other technical teams across a large organisation.
• Write tested code, troubleshoot distributed backend systems, participate in solution design, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, clean code, and software design principles.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, or similar Java backend frameworks, plus relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Git and standard development workflows.
• Professional working proficiency in English and availability for hybrid work in Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience with data platforms, data integration, or data-heavy environments.
• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
