Digital Asset Security Engineer

Location: Istanbul, Türkiye, with a hybrid schedule at the Vadistanbul office. Team members typically work from the office two days per week during three weeks of each month, with one fully remote week monthly and additional remote opportunities throughout August.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and secure digital asset technology capabilities.
• Protect wallet infrastructure, key management, custody models, cryptographic controls, and secure signing.
• Assess smart contract security, transaction authorization, tokenization platforms, and blockchain integrations.
• Make digital asset platforms secure by design, resilient, auditable, compliant, and production-ready.
• Collaborate with digital asset and blockchain engineers, architects, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, legal, product, and global technology teams.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or architecture.
• Strong background in cybersecurity, secure software engineering, platform security, or cryptographic systems.
• Understanding of wallets, public/private key cryptography, digital signatures, transaction signing, smart contracts, tokens, blockchain nodes, and custody models.
• Experience with secure coding, threat modelling, vulnerability management, penetration testing, or security architecture.
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, IAM, secrets management, encryption, logging, monitoring, and audit trails.
• Fluent English communication at C1 level or above, a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, strong stakeholder management, and experience in Agile organizations.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, financial services, payments, capital markets, securities, custody, or wholesale banking.
• Experience with digital assets, tokenization, stablecoins, CBDCs, tokenized deposits, or blockchain-based settlement.
• Hands-on experience with HSMs, MPC platforms, wallet infrastructure, or custody technology providers.
• Knowledge of smart contract security tools, Ethereum and EVM chains, Hyperledger platforms, Corda, Quorum, or permissioned blockchain networks.
• Experience with advanced cryptographic protocols, security frameworks, or certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, GIAC, or CEH.
