Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security Engineer (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Support OT cyber security project lifecycle activities for secure-by-design industrial automation and control systems.
• Conduct ISA/IEC 62443-3-2 risk assessments and define risk-based OT cyber security requirements.
• Design segmented, defence-in-depth architectures and implement hardening, firewalls, managed switches, remote access, IDS, HIDS, EDR, network monitoring, and SIEM controls.
• Deliver OT cyber security consultancy, including gap assessments, vulnerability assessments, and support for client CSMS documentation.
• Provide technical supervision and quality assurance through design reviews, project surveillance, audits, and security hygiene activities.
• Support proposals, business development, technical demonstrations, industry engagement, and relationships with control-system vendors and security providers.

Requirements

• Practical OT cyber security engineering experience with PLC, DCS, RTU, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Experience designing, specifying, implementing, testing, and commissioning security solutions for OT/IACS environments.
• Practitioner knowledge of the ISA/IEC 62443 standards, particularly 2-1, 2-4, 3-2, and 3-3.
• Experience with control-system OEMs such as AVEVA, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or Schneider, and industrial protocols including CIP, DNP3, Modbus, PROFINET, IEC 61850, PRP, or REP.
• Experience in system integration, essential services, or critical national infrastructure organisations, plus quality management system improvement.
• Degree or HND/HNC in electronic/electrical engineering, computer science, or a relevant engineering discipline; professional registration or progress toward registration.
