Head of Developer Platform (Platform Engineering): Leading and evolving an internal developer platform that enables engineers to build, ship, and run software with an accent on developer experience, self-service capabilities, reliability, and platform product adoption. Focus on unifying three platform teams, developing Engineering Managers, shaping CI/CD and golden paths, and strengthening SRE, observability, and incident response practices.
Location: Belgium Hub, Liège; hybrid working model with remote work possible for up to 50% of working time

What you will do
- Lead, structure, and grow three platform teams: Developer Experience, Channel, and Reliability Operations.
- Manage and develop approximately three Engineering Managers and 15–20 engineers.
- Shape the Internal Developer Platform as an internal product focused on developer adoption, value creation, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive developer tooling, golden paths, templates, CI/CD, self-service capabilities, and end-to-end developer workflows.
- Oversee the shared frontend platform, including the app shell, design system, and SDKs.
- Strengthen reliability and observability through SRE principles, incident response, and platform dependability.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineers through managers, ideally managing at least two Engineering Managers and teams of approximately 15 or more engineers.
- Current experience evolving an internal developer platform, developer tooling, CI/CD, or self-service engineering capabilities as a product.
- Strong software engineering and architecture background with credible technical depth in platform and reliability topics.
- Experience building, shaping, and growing teams, including hiring and developing Engineering Managers.
- Strong understanding of reliability as a core engineering principle, plus the ability to translate strategy into clear priorities and execution roadmaps.
- Strong communication skills and a product mindset focused on adoption, value, outcomes, and developer experience.
