KYC Associate (Fintech)

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid working model with 3 days in the office

What you will do

• Support end-to-end onboarding of new retail clients by verifying documentation and completing KYC checks.
• Handle client queries and complaints related to onboarding, resolving straightforward cases and escalating complex issues.
• Identify account-opening discrepancies, risks, process gaps, and system issues, escalating them to senior colleagues or the team lead.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of KYC checks and client interactions.
• Support quality checks and help address gaps in the account-opening process.
• Apply current AML/KYC policies and procedures while meeting agreed KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Experience in a client-facing, customer service, or administrative role.
• Willingness and aptitude to learn KYC/AML principles and retail client onboarding processes.
• Confident and clear communication skills, with the ability to handle client queries.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving judgement.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to manage varied workloads against KPIs and SLAs.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Up to one year of experience in KYC/AML, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• Exposure to KYC/AML systems, case management tools, client complaints, or service issue resolution.
• Experience supporting internal or external audit requests.
• Experience using AI tools for day-to-day work.
