Chief Architect (AI)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX or Southlake, TX, United States

Salary: USD 285,000–350,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Shape and communicate the long-term architectural vision for Retail, Bank and Corporate Technology domains.
• Lead enterprise-level architecture initiatives, modernization programs, and solution architecture for highly complex systems.
• Design for availability, disaster recovery, observability, performance, scalability, and incident prevention across mission-critical platforms.
• Define reusable platform capabilities, integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architectures, and shared services.
• Guide technology governance, risk decisions, technical debt management, investment sequencing, and compliance alignment.
• Advise senior business and technology leaders, influence decisions across organizational boundaries, and mentor engineers and technical leaders.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading complex enterprise architecture initiatives across multiple teams, domains, or business areas.
• Experience creating technology strategies, blueprints, roadmaps, and capability gap analyses.
• Expertise in cloud modernization, Java, .NET, SQL and NoSQL databases, AI-centric software development, and containerized application hosting.
• Experience with platform capabilities, integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architectures, and shared services.
• Strong understanding of technology governance, risk tolerances, exception processes, and compliance requirements.
• Executive-level communication skills, including presenting architectural strategies and recommendations to senior leadership.
