Manager, Revenue Cycle (Post-Appeals)

Location: US Remote

Salary: $101,400–$120,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Oversee daily operations of the Unresponded team, including 124+ offshore representatives, supporting leaders, onshore analysts, and a supervisor.
• Track and drive resolution of post-appeal payer responses across commercial and non-commercial plans.
• Identify backlog drivers and implement strategies to reduce aging unresponded appeals and meet SLA targets.
• Partner with technology and systems teams to prioritize and implement workflow improvements.
• Coordinate with Denials & Appeals teams to escalate, document, and address process errors.
• Manage performance through goal-setting, productivity monitoring, coaching, development, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience managing large teams in billing, denials management, or revenue cycle operations within a laboratory or healthcare setting.
• Experience managing large remote or offshore teams.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and non-commercial payer plans, appeal processes, and post-appeal response workflows.
• Familiarity with multiple payer portals and experience collaborating with technology or systems teams on workflow improvements.
• Knowledge of PHI handling requirements and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
