Senior/Lead Fullstack Engineer (Java/React)

Location: Fully remote; applicants must be based in Belgrade, Serbia, selected EMEA countries, selected CIS countries, or Cyprus. Applications from outside these regions are not considered.

What you will do

• Lead architecture decisions and define engineering standards and code quality practices.
• Build and maintain production-ready full-stack applications with Java, Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas, Liquibase migrations, and BigQuery integrations.
• Drive OpenAPI-first development and typed frontend API clients.
• Own backend observability using Actuator, Prometheus, and structured logging.
• Partner with business stakeholders to preserve product intent while improving technical quality.

Requirements

• Senior or lead-level full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong backend experience with Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, REST/OpenAPI, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Spring Security, and observability tooling.
• Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, API-driven interfaces, and server-state management such as TanStack Query.
• Experience with BigQuery or a similar data warehouse and data integration concepts including source-of-truth boundaries, freshness, and caching.
• Hands-on experience building with LLM tools and APIs and refactoring AI-generated code into maintainable production systems.
• Must be based in Belgrade, Serbia, selected EMEA countries, selected CIS countries, or Cyprus.

Nice to have

• Experience defining backend architecture standards and working in multi-module Maven projects.
• Experience integrating legacy systems without rewriting them.
• Experience with Google APIs, including Sheets, Drive, and BigQuery, or workflow automation tools such as n8n.
