Staff Software Engineer, Traffic

Location: United States, Remote Opportunity

Salary: $212,000–$280,000 plus eligibility for hirify.global's equity plan.

What you will do

• Design and develop systems that optimize network traffic and support global scalability.
• Make architectural decisions for high-impact networking infrastructure projects.
• Develop technical roadmaps for network scalability, performance, and engineering velocity.
• Design and implement secure-by-default network systems with security teams.
• Partner with engineering, product, security, customers, and internal stakeholders to align requirements and deliver solutions.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and promote reliable and scalable engineering practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading complex engineering efforts in network traffic management, network optimization, and cloud orchestration.
• At least 8 years of coding experience with Go, Java, or similar languages.
• Strong expertise in concurrent and distributed code, concurrency primitives, and distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of traffic and networking systems and network performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including cost, performance, and scalability optimization.
• Strong collaboration, communication, ownership, and system-level decision-making skills.
