Fullstack Engineer (React/Node.js)

What you will do

• Own collaborative editing end to end, from React editor surfaces through Node services that carry and persist document state.
• Build offline support with client-side storage, queued mutations, reconnection, and reconciliation.
• Design realtime WebSocket transport, ordering, conflict resolution, and durable records of editing decisions.
• Build editing surfaces where AI-agent actions clearly show authorship and authority.
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers in San Francisco and Hyderabad.
• Investigate difficult data-loss issues across networks, browsers, and self-hosted deployments.

Requirements

• Production experience shipping both React and Node with TypeScript.
• Experience with rich-text editor frameworks such as ProseMirror, Lexical, or Tiptap at the schema and document-model level.
• Experience building realtime features over WebSockets, including reconnection, ordering, and offline-client behavior.
• Experience building offline applications with Service Workers, IndexedDB, queued mutations, and reconciliation.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills beyond the ORM, including query plans and indexing.
• Practical understanding of CRDTs and operational transformation.

• Contributions to hirify.global or another relied-upon open-source project.
• Experience shipping Electron desktop applications, including packaging and updates.
• Experience building systems where AI agents act on real data, including permissions and audit trails.
