Sr/Principal Data Architect (AI)

Location: Brazil; remote home-office position.

What you will do

• Design scalable, secure, high-performance data architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Define architecture patterns, standards, best practices, and technology strategies for modern data platforms.
• Design and evolve Lakehouse and cloud data platform architectures using Databricks and/or Snowflake.
• Develop data solutions across AWS and/or Azure, covering integration, ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, security, and consumption.
• Lead architectural decision-making, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide technical mentorship to Data Engineering and Analytics teams.
• Contribute to AI-ready data architectures using AI Agents, Agentic approaches, and Specification-Driven Development.

Requirements

• Advanced English at C1 level or above with strong communication skills in international environments.
• Extensive experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Databricks or Snowflake and at least one major cloud platform: AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of modern data architecture patterns, including Lakehouse, data platforms, data integration, data modeling, and data governance.
• Experience designing end-to-end data solutions and translating business requirements into technical architecture.
• Strong knowledge of AI and Agentic approaches for Data, including AI Agents, Agentic Architecture, or Agentic Data solutions, plus knowledge of SDD.

Nice to have

• Experience with both Databricks and Snowflake, and with both AWS and Azure.
• Experience implementing LLM-powered solutions, AI Agents, or Agentic workflows.
• Experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI frameworks and technologies.
• Experience defining enterprise-level Data Governance, Security, and Data Quality strategies.
• Experience working with global teams and international clients.
