Senior Cloud Data Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Kraków or Warsaw, Poland; most team members work in the office two days a week.

Salary: 17,730–26,620 PLN gross per month, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Build and operate production data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, orchestration, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, and documentation across multiple environments.
• Author, schedule, and debug Airflow DAGs.
• Provision and own AWS infrastructure using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Support AI-ready data, MCP, and Redshift access initiatives.
• Own data quality, observability, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions while working directly with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong production Python, advanced SQL, and analytical data modelling skills.
• Hands-on AWS experience with Redshift, S3, Lambda, IAM, Glue, Kinesis, ECS, and ECR.
• Production experience with an OLAP/MPP warehouse, preferably Redshift.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and end-to-end Airflow DAG development.
• Fluent English and availability for hybrid work in Kraków or Warsaw.

Nice to have

• Streaming or CDC tooling, data quality and observability tooling, or data contracts.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment.
• Experience with PII handling, access control, audit, lineage, or AWS cost optimisation.
