Application Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Collaborate on innovation, technology, and organizational projects across specialist areas.
• Plan and implement production systems and processes for existing and new automotive products across serviced plants.
• Coordinate the planning, procurement, commissioning, parameterization, and operation of production and testing systems.
• Develop new and further improve existing production system technologies using knowledge of multiple production processes.
• Plan and monitor equipment-level budgets and align operating resource schedules with project schedules.
• Support knowledge transfer, onboarding, and cooperation within the department and supervised HV-segment plants.

Requirements

• Higher education, comparable training, or a master’s or technician qualification in production.
• At least 2 years of experience in automation.
• Knowledge of English required.
• Analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to take business trips, including stays abroad, without long-term assignments abroad.
