Microsoft 365 Collaboration Engineer (Technical Specialist)

Location: Onsite at a hirify.global corporate office; Columbus, Ohio is listed as the location.

Salary: $70,000–$140,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, administer, and optimize Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 collaboration environments.
• Configure Teams messaging, meetings, voice, applications, compliance policies, provisioning, classification, expiration, and archiving.
• Integrate Teams with third-party applications, internal systems, Power Automate, Power Apps, bots, connectors, and custom Teams applications.
• Automate administrative processes with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and scripting frameworks.
• Monitor service health, usage, adoption, performance, and reliability; troubleshoot incidents and support escalations.
• Drive Teams adoption, document operational runbooks, provide guidance and training, and align platform capabilities with governance and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least four additional years of equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in Microsoft 365 or collaboration platform engineering.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 architecture, including enterprise-scale deployments.
• Experience with Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams governance, identity and access management, SSO, MFA, and Conditional Access.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation, with familiarity with Microsoft Graph API, automation frameworks, and Power BI dashboards.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including QoS, DNS, firewalls, latency, and bandwidth planning; strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated environments such as financial services or healthcare.
• Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, or Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certification.
