Senior IT Operations Technician (Microsoft 365)

Location: United States - West, remote; candidates must be in the Pacific Time Zone

Target annual compensation: $115,000–$135,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Provide expert IT Operations support to employees across a globally distributed organization.
• Investigate and resolve complex operational issues while balancing employee experience, security, reliability, and business impact.
• Mentor and coach IT Operations team members, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, documentation, and operational decisions.
• Administer and support enterprise platforms, including Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud High in the federal environment.
• Partner with Security and other teams on operational, security, and compliance requirements for the federal environment.
• Lead root-cause analysis and convert findings into scalable technical, process, and automation improvements.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of IT Operations experience or equivalent senior-level technical breadth, judgment, and ownership.
• Advanced administration experience with several enterprise platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Jira, identity providers, or mobile device management platforms.
• Enterprise Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Experience leading root-cause analysis, implementing scalable improvements, and serving as a technical escalation point.
• Experience mentoring or coaching IT professionals and making decisions that balance security, reliability, speed, and business impact.
• Strong automation mindset with attention to security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft 365 GCC High or another regulated government cloud environment.
