Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Salary: $85.00–$90.00 per hour on W-2

What you will do

• Embed with Fixed Income business, technology, quant, operations, risk, compliance, and control teams to identify AI opportunities and understand workflows.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and build production-grade generative AI applications using Python, OpenAI or Claude Agent SDK, and agentic frameworks.
• Develop AI solutions for knowledge retrieval, workflow automation, document analysis, trade support, client intelligence, exception handling, and management reporting.
• Build retrieval pipelines across structured and unstructured enterprise data, including research, policies, trade data, market commentary, and client documents.
• Design output evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, completeness, hallucination risk, relevance, compliance alignment, and user feedback.
• Ensure security, privacy, auditability, access control, model governance, stakeholder communication, and adoption of reusable AI components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on Python experience and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience building applications with Python, OpenAI or Claude Agent SDK, agentic frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise data sources.
• Strong knowledge of prompt design, prompt testing, grounding, context management, and output validation.
• Ability to lead discovery discussions, clarify ambiguous requirements, and explain AI concepts, risks, and design choices to business stakeholders.
• Experience evolving prototypes into production-ready solutions in agile, fast-moving environments.

Nice to have

• Financial-services experience in capital markets, Fixed Income, trading, sales, risk, operations, or banking technology.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, document intelligence, and AI evaluation frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, model risk management, compliance review, data privacy, and financial-services regulations.
• Experience in forward-deployed, consulting, client engineering, post-sales engineering, or technical delivery roles.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, secure APIs, authentication, authorization, and enterprise integration patterns.
