What you will do

  • Migrate applications and services from RHEL7 to RHEL9, resolving binary compatibility, library dependency, and package issues.
  • Build and compile open-source packages from source code and manage RPM package lifecycles.
  • Refactor legacy Docker workflows to Podman and support migration to RHEL9 Universal Base Images.
  • Architect and maintain Rancher-managed Kubernetes environments.
  • Develop Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with Groovy shared libraries and build Python automation tools and API integrations.
  • Review vulnerability reports, remediate CVEs, and maintain RHEL9 security and software supply-chain standards.

Requirements

  • 9 years of overall experience in Linux or platform engineering environments.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration, engineering, and modernization experience, including RHEL9.
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, with substantial platform engineering experience rather than purely support or administrative work.
  • Experience with Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher, Ansible, Make, CMake, and GCC.
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and large-scale operating-system configuration.
  • Strong communication skills for client-facing interviews.
