Manager Quality Engineer (Toys)

What you will do

• Lead a team of Quality Engineers supporting global brand teams and toy product development programs.
• Shape and execute quality engineering strategies covering product quality, safety, reliability, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Marketing, Design, Product Development, Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance, laboratories, manufacturing, and quality organizations.
• Oversee product investigations, root cause analysis, engineering studies, sampling strategies, risk assessments, verification, and validation.
• Use consumer complaints, returns, testing results, manufacturing data, and quality metrics to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Develop team capability, allocate resources, manage performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in product development, product engineering, manufacturing, or quality roles, preferably in toys, children’s products, or consumer products.
• Experience leading engineers, technical teams, or significant cross-functional programs; formal people-management experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of global toy and consumer product safety standards, regulatory requirements, Quality Management Systems, and product development from concept through post-market support.
• Knowledge of FMEA, FTA, PHA, statistical analysis, sampling methodologies, root cause analysis, process mapping, and engineering studies.
• Experience working with product testing laboratories, global manufacturing, suppliers, and product development organizations; proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and Minitab.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Human Factors or Usability Engineering principles applied to toys and consumer products.
• Experience in toy, children’s product, or broader consumer product industries.
