Staff DevOps Engineer

Location: Onsite at the State College, Pennsylvania headquarters; candidates must be within commutable distance. Remote work is not available.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and evolve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Maintain reliable, testable, secure infrastructure and optimize system performance while reducing technical debt.
• Support production systems, participate in on-call rotations, and improve monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-mortem processes.
• Lead DevOps projects from planning through production delivery, managing backlogs, priorities, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to long-term strategies for system architecture, cloud adoption, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical learning sessions, provide code reviews, and support team development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or systems administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Ansible, and Puppet.
• In-depth knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus a record of leading projects from inception to production.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, legal authorization to work in the United States, and no current or future need for employment sponsorship.
