What you will do

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the security assurance capability.
• Develop risk-based assurance methodologies, testing approaches, assurance plans, and reporting.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of security controls and produce evidence-based findings.
• Track findings through remediation and validate that issues have been effectively addressed.
• Support external assessments, certifications, and customer assurance activities.
• Partner with the Security Analytics Engineer to automate evidence collection and introduce continuous validation.

Requirements

• Experience designing, building, or operating security or controls assurance in organisations with modern technology stacks.
• Strong understanding of security controls and how to evaluate design and operating effectiveness.
• Experience with cloud-native, SaaS-heavy environments and close collaboration with engineering teams.
• Experience developing assurance methodologies, performing control testing, and communicating outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to independently challenge control effectiveness while building collaborative relationships.
• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to governance in a fast-moving engineering organisation.

Nice to have

• Experience with TISAX, ISO 21434, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar frameworks.
• Experience evolving periodic assurance into continuous assurance.
• Familiarity with cloud-native and software engineering assurance techniques.
• Certifications such as CISA or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
