Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

What you will do

• Own reliability engineering for reference designs, including modeling availability and identifying weak points.
• Build RAM models to quantify failure rates, redundancy, and maintainability.
• Lead cross-discipline FMEAs to catalog and design out failure modes.
• Analyze field data to feed failure rates back into design models.
• Evaluate redundancy trade-offs based on cost and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Proven experience in reliability engineering for infrastructure, energy, or complex hardware.
• Ability to build availability models used for decision-making.
• Experience leading cross-discipline FMEAs that influenced design changes.
• Proficiency in mining field data to determine failure rates.
• Strong analytical skills to argue redundancy trade-offs.
• Must be able to work on-site in Austin, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center topologies.
• Familiarity with RAM modeling software and Weibull analysis.
• Background in maintenance strategy design.
