Chassis Controls Engineer (Automotive Brakes & Steering)

What you will do

• Author, refine, and maintain technical specifications for brake controls.
• Lead external suppliers in developing brake control functions and delivering firmware releases for company milestones.
• Design diagnostic scripts and tools for system troubleshooting and validation.
• Lead triage, resolution, and impact assessment of supplier firmware defects.
• Collaborate with experts in AI, mechatronics, computer vision, and robotics to integrate innovations into the vehicle platform.

Requirements

• BS or MS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
• Direct ownership of functional development, tuning, or validation for hydraulic braking systems such as ABS, ESC, TCS, or e-brake.
• Experience debugging complex issues across hardware, software, and firmware boundaries.
• Extensive experience developing and operating hardware-in-the-loop test benches for automated firmware regression testing.
• Strong understanding of automotive product development, software releases, change management, and schedule planning.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, dSPACE ControlDesk/ConfigurationDesk, Polarion, Jira, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with CAN, CAN-FD, ISO 26262, and ASIL-D.
• Experience writing HIL validation scripts with Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or CAPL.
