LQA Tester (Gaming Localization)

Location: On-site in Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain. The role requires the right to work in Spain.

hirify.global provides linguistic quality assurance and localization testing for video games, from indie titles to AAA releases.

What you will do

• Test games for linguistic accuracy, natural phrasing, cultural appropriateness, and consistency across menus and in-game content.
• Report linguistic issues clearly in professional bug databases, track progress, and verify fixes.
• Write and refine test cases, document findings, and follow established LQA testing methods.
• Collaborate with testers, translators, and developers throughout the localization testing cycle.
• Improve testing workflows, share knowledge, and contribute to LQA best practices.

Requirements

• Required: Simplified Chinese, proficiency in Japanese, and confident written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, initiative, and ability to work under pressure.
• Comfort with databases, spreadsheets, testing tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Must already have the right to work in Spain.
• Must work on-site in the Madrid office.

Nice to have

• Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
• Familiarity with translation systems, test case management tools, or text editing platforms.
• Knowledge of gaming trends and culture.
• Degree in linguistics or a related field.
