Payroll & Timekeeping Specialist

What you will do

• Maintain and enforce timekeeping policies for attendance, tardiness, overtime, leave, and holidays.
• Validate timekeeping entries, approvals, payroll inputs, gross pay, statutory deductions, and net pay.
• Perform payroll variance analysis and root cause analysis to identify missing entries, unusual overtime, cost fluctuations, and inconsistent pay records.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and out-of-cycle payments, including final pay, 13th month pay, and prorated salaries.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconcile records with Finance and statutory remittances, and maintain audit documentation.
• Improve payroll and timekeeping SOPs, issue payslips, and resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory compliance requirements covering BIR, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and DOLE.
• Experience with data validation, variance analysis, payroll governance, and discrepancy escalation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data validation.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with People Partners, Operations, and Finance teams.
• Experience with payroll system implementation or migration is an advantage.
