ML/MLOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Germany; fully remote, office-based, or hybrid work options are available.

Salary: €4,100–€6,475 gross per month.

What you will do

• Build and orchestrate ML pipelines with Kubeflow Pipelines v2.
• Train machine learning models on GPUs and manage GPU resources in Kubernetes.
• Fine-tune transformers and LLMs, and track experiments and models with MLflow.
• Build classical machine learning models using XGBoost and CatBoost.
• Develop Python pipelines, integrations, and tooling while processing large datasets with SQL Server and DuckDB.
• Implement testing, clean code practices, GitLab CI/CD, and secure-by-default infrastructure with network policies and restrictive container rights.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an MLOps Engineer or ML Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Kubeflow Pipelines v2, GPU model training, MLflow, and LLM or transformer fine-tuning.
• Strong Python proficiency and experience with XGBoost or CatBoost.
• Experience with SQL, large-scale data processing, and regulated or enterprise cloud-native environments.
• Experience with CI/CD, clean code, and testing practices; GitLab CI is preferred.
• English at Intermediate+ level or above and German at Upper-Intermediate level or above are required.

Nice to have

• LLM pre-training experience beyond fine-tuning.
• GPU orchestration in Kubernetes and zero-trust environments.
• Knowledge of DuckDB and modern Python tooling such as uv.
