SW Engineering Intern (Embedded)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; primarily on-site with a work-from-home policy and flexible working hours

What you will do

• Support the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software or firmware features under team guidance.
• Assist with debugging, code review follow-up, integration, and maintenance of existing software components.
• Collaborate with systems, validation, and application teams to understand requirements and support project execution.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guidance, and development records.
• Contribute to code quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement of software engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or imminent graduation, in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Strong foundations in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering, design, verification, programming, or laboratory tools, with the ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Good written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience from laboratory work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions.
