Sr Systems Analyst (.NET/SQL)

Location: Remote within the United States; office location listed as Lake Forest, Illinois. Some project-based travel is involved.

Salary: $96,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and support applications used by eight paper mills across the United States.
• Build and maintain Windows desktop applications in VB.NET and C# using the .NET Framework.
• Write SQL queries and create stored procedures, functions, and views in SQL Server.
• Work with Microsoft Windows and Active Directory environments.
• Gather detailed requirements and make independent decisions through creative problem-solving.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers in a fast-paced industrial environment and travel on a project-by-project basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Windows desktop development with Windows Forms or WPF.
• Professional experience with VB.NET, C#, the .NET Framework, and SQL Server 2017 or newer.
• Experience writing SQL queries and creating stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, handle ambiguity and change, and build effective customer relationships.

Nice to have

• Source control experience, preferably with Git.
• Web development experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Blazor, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, or mobile web development.
