Middle Android Developer (Construction Tech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Build scalable workforce presence tracking and construction-site access management features.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical decisions, peer reviews, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Refactor and modernize existing Android codebases while improving maintainability and performance.
• Integrate native capabilities including NFC, Bluetooth, and Camera SDKs.
• Collaborate with iOS engineers, QA specialists, backend developers, and product stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines, Flow, Retrofit, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, dependency injection, and unit testing with Mockito and JUnit.
• Ability to independently drive feature development and technical solutions, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Intermediate or higher English level required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, XML, Android Data Binding, and modernization of legacy Android applications.
• Experience migrating XML-based interfaces and legacy navigation to Jetpack Compose and Navigation Compose.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release automation, scripting, and process automation.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and a portfolio of published Android applications.
