Senior Mobile App Developer (Kotlin)

What you will do

• Design and develop robust Android applications using Kotlin and established architectural patterns.
• Build and maintain cross-platform solutions with Kotlin Multiplatform and maximize code reuse.
• Implement Firebase services and optimize existing mobile applications for performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver scalable mobile solutions.
• Write maintainable code with testing and documentation, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Support clients with mobile development best practices and applicable GDS service standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing production Android applications with Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and Google Firebase.
• Experience enhancing and optimizing existing mobile solutions.
• Strong understanding of mobile development principles and UI/UX considerations.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to clean, maintainable, well-tested code.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GDS Service Standard and government digital services.
• Consultancy or client-facing experience.
