Software Engineer Intern (AOSP/Android)

What you will do

• Contribute to the development and customization of the Android Open Source Project for video collaboration devices.
• Work across the Android software stack, including the Hardware Abstraction Layer, framework, and system services.
• Develop and maintain system-level applications and services.
• Integrate, configure, and troubleshoot hardware peripherals within the Android ecosystem.
• Support secure device-to-cloud communication for remote management and telemetry.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams and participate in technical reviews.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS/MS in an engineering or technical field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Foundational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and/or C++.
• Basic understanding of Android development or Android system architecture, embedded systems, IPC, and client-server communication.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, concurrency, and multithreading.
• Good verbal communication skills in English and basic familiarity with Linux and Bash.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI coding tools.
• Interest in how software interfaces with hardware components.
