TL;DR
Staff Data Engineer (GenAI) (AI, data platforms, distributed systems): Design and deliver scalable platforms, microservices, real-time data systems, and GenAI applications integrating large language models such as OpenAI and Anthropic with an accent on security, reliability, and enterprise-scale performance. Focus on prompt orchestration, context management, event-driven architectures, production troubleshooting, and mentoring engineers.
Location: Singapore. Hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office; exact expectations will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do
- Design and deliver scalable, resilient platforms and services for AI/GenAI applications and data-driven systems.
- Build integrations with large language model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
- Develop GenAI workflows covering prompt orchestration, context handling, and system integration layers.
- Lead the development of microservices, APIs, data products, and platform components for distributed systems.
- Build and optimize real-time streaming and event-driven architectures for high-throughput applications.
- Drive architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, troubleshooting, automation, governance, security, and performance improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years with an advanced degree, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, TypeScript, Node, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience with data pipelines, large-scale data processing, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and real-time streaming or event-driven systems.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, AWS, observability, logging, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or Generative AI services and working with LLM-based systems.
- Ability to apply secure coding practices and enterprise data governance, security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, GenAI workflow design, prompt engineering, context management, and orchestration.
- Experience with Kafka, high-throughput low-latency systems, advanced AWS services, and production systems at scale.
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, embeddings, tool calling, agent memory, evaluation frameworks, A2A, and MCP protocols.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Spring AI, vector databases, knowledge graphs, or model evaluation frameworks.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices across teams.
