TL;DR
Staff Data Engineer (GenAI) (AI/data platforms): Building secure, scalable platforms and applications that integrate large language models, data pipelines, microservices, and real-time distributed systems with an accent on enterprise-grade reliability, governance, and performance. Focus on designing GenAI workflows, integrating OpenAI and Anthropic services, optimizing high-throughput streaming architectures, and leading production troubleshooting and engineering standards.
Location: Singapore; at least 3 days in the office

What you will do
- Design and deliver scalable, resilient platforms and services for AI/GenAI applications and data-driven systems.
- Build integrations with large language model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
- Design GenAI workflows covering prompt orchestration, context handling, and system integration.
- Lead development of microservices, APIs, data platforms, and real-time event-driven architectures.
- Own the reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability of data products and platform components.
- Guide architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, troubleshooting, and continuous performance improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, 2+ years with an advanced degree, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, TypeScript/Node, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience with data pipelines, distributed systems, large-scale processing, microservices, APIs, and real-time streaming.
- Experience with AWS, cloud-native applications, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, observability, logging, and automated testing.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or GenAI services and working with LLM-based systems.
- Knowledge of secure coding, data governance, privacy, compliance, and enterprise security standards.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, prompt design, context management, RAG, vector search, embeddings, tool calling, and agentic AI workflows.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Spring AI, vector databases, knowledge graphs, model evaluation frameworks, or MCP servers.
- Experience with Kafka and high-throughput, low-latency production systems.
- Experience mentoring engineers and defining engineering best practices across teams.
