Project Engineer (Packaging Automation)

Location: Onsite in Forest, Virginia, United States

Base salary: $60,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage engineering activities throughout project execution, including developing and maintaining system layouts.
• Review project scope, specifications, layouts, and special engineering requirements with Sales Engineering.
• Coordinate third-party and OEM equipment details and incorporate requirements into project designs.
• Support technical quotations, layouts, RFQs, and mechanical or electrical installation bid documentation.
• Participate in project handoff and Sales Release Meetings to document and communicate engineering requirements.
• Travel periodically to customer sites for evaluations, meetings, startups, and customer support.

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience in technical sales, design engineering, or applications engineering.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, automation, or industrial equipment design principles.
• Proficiency with CAD software, ERP or CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
