TL;DR
Senior Test Engineers (Banking) (Automation, Integration Testing): Defining and executing end-to-end test strategies for large-scale banking integration programmes with an accent on SIT, UAT, downstream-system impacts, and cross-system risk management. Focus on combining manual and automated testing, validating APIs and data flows, debugging integration issues, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Wellington, New Zealand; minimum 3 days onsite each week, with the remaining 2 days from home or office

What you will do
- Define and execute integrated test strategies for large-scale banking integration programmes.
- Lead System Integration Testing, end-to-end testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Manage test planning, execution, governance, reporting, environments, and defects across the full testing lifecycle.
- Identify and manage cross-system and cross-stream risks, including downstream-system impacts and data flows.
- Work with engineers, developers, downstream system owners, banking clients, and delivery teams to debug and resolve issues.
- Conduct code reviews and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Lead or Senior Test Engineer delivering enterprise-level testing capabilities, preferably in the financial sector.
- Strong experience in automation and manual testing using a range of tools and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with integration, UAT, regression, performance, API, and mobile testing.
- Experience with JIRA, ALM, enterprise test management, environment management, and defect management.
- Ability to use tools such as Splunk, OpenShift, and Dynatrace, and to understand and challenge system integrations and downstream impacts.
- Strong influencing and communication skills for coordinating delivery teams and system owners.
Nice to have
- API testing with Node, Postman, Hopscotch, and REST clients.
- Experience with Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, Cucumber, Espresso, Xcode, or XCUITest.
- Experience with Jenkins, Confluence, and SQL scripting for database validation.
