Software QA Engineer (IoT)

What you will do

• Design, execute, and document traceable test scenarios for new features and enhancements.
• Perform regression, API, integration, and manual exploratory testing across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Validate microservice-based applications and investigate defects using structured reproduction, debugging, logs, metrics, and monitoring tools.
• Document defects and test outcomes in tools such as Jira and TestRail, and communicate quality risks and progress to stakeholders.
• Support customer-facing teams by reproducing and documenting production issues.
• Maintain QA documentation, test cases, knowledge bases, and test coverage to improve platform stability.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing in an agile environment.
• Strong experience with test cases, test plans, API testing, REST, JSON, HTTP status codes, and request/response flows.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, traceable QA workflows, and scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Cassandra.
• Experience testing public-cloud applications, preferably on AWS, as well as containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Professional communication in Czech and English, both verbally and in writing.
