Senior Data Quality Engineer (AWS/Python)

Location: Hybrid position based in the Kansas City, Missouri office; employees must attend the office on a scheduled frequency. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end data quality solutions in the cloud using AWS technologies.
• Design and maintain a scalable data quality platform using Glue, Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Athena, Datadog, Snowflake, Tableau, and PowerBI.
• Build automated reconciliations, data profiling, quality metrics, and dashboards.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues using reports, KPIs, patterns, and trends.
• Apply analytical and predictive techniques to diagnose root causes and anticipate data quality risks.
• Partner with engineers, developers, business leaders, and stakeholders on reporting, process improvements, system enhancements, and data governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data quality engineering or data engineering, including enterprise-scale data quality frameworks or platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud-native services, Snowflake, Datadog, Glue ETL, Tableau, and PowerBI.
• Advanced experience with Python, SQL, and data quality automation.
• Understanding of data governance, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience exploring data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in an Agile environment and build business partnerships.
