Senior Software Engineer (STK)

What you will do

• Develop, customize, and maintain STK-based applications for mission planning, analysis, and visualization.
• Integrate STK Engine, Components, or Desktop with external tools, models, APIs, and data sources.
• Build Python backend services and support modern React-based frontend interfaces.
• Analyze simulation results and provide actionable insights to engineering teams, customers, and leadership.
• Support traceability between mission analysis outputs, system models, and digital engineering environments.
• Deploy, troubleshoot, document, and enhance applications in containerized or cloud-based environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of software development experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as Flask, with experience integrating tools through REST or similar APIs.
• Strong React experience for building modern, responsive user interfaces.
• Experience with software development, version control, technical documentation, and managing multiple priorities.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required; SCI eligibility is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with STK, STK Engine, STK Components, or Cesium.
• Experience linking STK analyses to MBSE environments, parameter passing, trade studies, or digital thread integration.
• Familiarity with digital engineering ecosystems, mission thread development, or model orchestration tools.
• Experience with Docker, cloud environments, or DevSecOps practices.
