What you will do

• Characterize motion-sensing performance across different environments and recommend design improvements.
• Diagnose engineering issues using scientific methods and determine definitive root causes.
• Define and maintain sensing-system metrics related to detection range, field of view, accuracy, and true- and false-positive performance.
• Develop repeatable, reproducible, and automated measurement methods, tools, and equipment for sensor validation.
• Work cross-functionally with Firmware, ODM partners, technology vendors, and Compliance.
• Support factory validation, yield optimization, failure analysis, technical reporting, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Experience integrating a commercial mmWave radar solution into a shipped product.
• Working knowledge of radar fundamentals, including range, velocity, angle resolution, point-cloud outputs, and tracking.
• Hands-on experience tuning detection and tracking parameters using real test data to meet product specifications.
• Ability to debug hardware and firmware issues at the timing and GPIO level.
• Experience working with third-party technology vendors and analyzing and visualizing test data in Python.
• BSEE or MSEE degree and proficiency in clear technical test-data reporting.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with commercial third-party SDKs, including device configuration, parameter tuning, and point-cloud data extraction.
• Experience with Passive Infrared sensors.
