hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing systems, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses.

What you will do

  • Develop active thermal control systems for spacecraft vehicles and payloads.
  • Build 0D and 1D fluid network models and interface them with vehicle thermal models.
  • Define fluid-system hardware and operational requirements using analysis and testing.
  • Support manufacturing and integration of thermal and fluid hardware onto vehicles.
  • Collaborate with payload, mechanical, software, and propulsion disciplines to develop vehicle thermal and fluid systems.
  • Characterize propulsion thermofluid performance and develop data-processing infrastructure for ground and flight systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in thermofluids and/or propulsion systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of heat transfer and incompressible fluid mechanics from first principles.
  • Experience with 0D and 1D thermal or fluid networks and modeling tools such as SINDA/FLUINT, ANSYS, or GFSSP.
  • Knowledge of thermomechanical hardware including heat exchangers, cold plates, vacuum chambers, pumps, valves, RTDs, and transducers, plus hands-on thermal and TVAC testing.
  • Experience with MATLAB or an equivalent tool for data processing and task automation, along with strong written and verbal technical communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Three or more years of thermofluids and/or propulsion experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, propulsion systems, or thruster characterization.
  • Ownership of projects and delivery of results in a fast-paced environment.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employees receive flexible PTO and 12 paid holidays.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance with FSA and employer-matched HSA options.
  • Parental leave, family-building and related support programs, and sponsored One Medical memberships.
