Software Development Specialist - Campocologno (CH)

Location: Campocologno, Graubunden, Switzerland; onsite role with up to 40% domestic and international travel

What you will do

• Develop and maintain PLC software, primarily with Rockwell and Siemens platforms.
• Build and maintain SCADA and customized HMI applications for automated equipment.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams, vendors, and plant personnel on equipment design, integration, and commissioning.
• Configure and manage industrial networks including Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, and EtherCAT.
• Support robot-based systems, peripheral-device integration, machine start-up, testing, and operator training.
• Analyze controls data, troubleshoot automation issues, and implement technical improvements to increase equipment efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electronic, Biomedical, or Automation Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience with machine controls and PLC programming.
• Strong knowledge of automation principles, servo systems, electrical and pneumatic design, industrial vision systems, and robot software.
• Experience with Staubli, ABB, or Fanuc robot software and familiarity with ISO, ANSI, GAMP5, and CFR21 Part 11 standards.
• Effective collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams.
• English at B2 level minimum and Italian required for the Campo site.
