Bank Secrecy Act Analyst

What you will do

• Examine automated alerts and monitoring reports for suspected fraudulent or problematic accounts.
• Analyze customer, account, and transaction data to identify suspicious or high-risk activity.
• Recommend appropriate risk mitigation actions, including Suspicious Activity Reports and possible account closure.
• Prepare accurate SAR documentation for management review and submission.
• Maintain detailed case files supporting findings and recommended actions.
• Review Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence information, customer risk scores, and risk ratings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of banking experience required.
• BSA/AML, financial crime, risk management, or compliance experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to read and interpret required documents.

Nice to have

• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.
• Bachelor's degree.
