Validation Engineer Tech Lead

Location: Rehovot, Israel. Relocation is not available. Travel is required up to 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end validation strategy and execution across domains.
• Define customer-focused, risk-based testing approaches and own system test plans, coverage, and validation scope.
• Participate in design and planning to identify gaps and risks, and review validation methodologies and test documentation.
• Define and align manual and automated testing strategies, quality standards, and process improvements.
• Lead complex investigations, resolve field escalations, track quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor QA engineers, serve as a technical point of contact, and coordinate cross-domain testing initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with system-level validation, end-to-end testing, complex software systems, and architectures.
• Experience developing test strategies, methodologies, quality processes, and risk-based customer-oriented testing approaches.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, Agile development, and data-driven quality analysis.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira and Xray.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, cross-team leadership, and engineering mentorship skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SEMI standards and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Experience in multidisciplinary hardware and software environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, Xray, and coverage techniques in Agile development.
