Performance Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Drive the direction of quality assurance practices and advance software quality.
• Establish and lead a QA governance framework across teams and locations.
• Drive adoption of testing methodologies tailored to fintech solutions.
• Develop and execute performance, resilience, and high-availability tests.
• Monitor application performance and tune systems, application servers, and databases.

Requirements

• 9+ years of IT experience, including 7+ years of application development and performance engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with Java, JEE, Maven, Hibernate, EJB, MQ, SQL, REST, XML, XSD, and JSON.
• Experience with Jenkins, unit testing, integration testing, and Selenium-based testing.
• Strong knowledge of WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, and OpenLiberty application servers.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle or PostgreSQL databases, Linux, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes, with strong problem-solving, teamwork, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kafka.
• Payment domain expertise, such as SEPA or SWIFT MT.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and PostgreSQL.
